SalonBEEE India (“SalonBEEE”, “we”, “our”, “us”) operates the SalonBEEE — Booking and SalonBEEE — Partner mobile applications (collectively, the “Apps”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Apps and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide and improve our services:
- Account data: name, mobile number, email address, profile photo, gender, date of birth (optional).
- Authentication data: Firebase Phone OTP or Email verification token — used solely to verify your identity.
- Salon Partner data: salon name, owner name, address, services, prices, salon photos.
- Booking data: selected salon, services, date/time, booking PIN, transaction amount, status.
- Location data: approximate / precise location (only when you allow) to show nearby salons.
- Payment data: we use Razorpay for payments — we never store full card details. Only transaction reference IDs are kept.
- Device data: Expo push token, Android version, app version, basic crash logs.
- Usage data: screens visited, taps on key actions — used in aggregate to improve user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and create your account.
- To deliver salon bookings, confirmations, reminders, and status updates via push notifications.
- To process payments through Razorpay and reconcile partner payouts.
- To show salons relevant to your location.
- To communicate important service messages (e.g. booking confirmation, refund, etc).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share only the minimum necessary data with:
- Firebase (Google LLC): for phone/email authentication.
- Cloudinary: for hosting salon images uploaded by partners.
- Razorpay: for processing payments (we never share full card data; Razorpay is PCI-DSS certified).
- Expo Push Service: to deliver push notifications.
- Law enforcement: only when legally compelled by Indian authorities.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account, booking, and payment records for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable Indian tax / consumer-protection laws (typically up to 7 years). You may request account deletion at any time — see Section 7.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures: TLS in transit, encrypted database storage, restricted server access, and OTP-based authentication. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security; we encourage you to use a strong device passcode.
6. Children’s Privacy
SalonBEEE is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared data with us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or update of your data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing.
- Opt out of marketing notifications (transactional notifications, e.g. booking alerts, will continue).
To exercise these rights, email support@salonbeee.in from your registered email — we will respond within 30 days.
8. Permissions We Request
- Camera: to take salon photos (Partner app).
- Photos / Storage: to upload existing photos from your gallery.
- Location: to show nearby salons (Customer app).
- Notifications: to deliver booking confirmations and partner alerts.
- Vibrate / Wake-lock: to ring partner alerts when phone is locked.
You may revoke any permission at any time from your device Settings.
9. Third-Party Links / Services
Our Apps may contain links to third-party services (e.g. Razorpay checkout, Google Maps). Their privacy policies apply when you interact with them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email.
